1. Miedo a perder:

Hello everyone and welcome to a new post!

I'm back with some advertising and marketing posts. Today I'll tell you some good ways to understand your customers/consumers if you do some content marketing. If you're interested, continue reading!

Nowadays, if you wanna be successful in any advertising or marketing field it's not enough to be lucky or being creative. Our customer/consumer is always changing and the same that worked few years ago it's not gonna work now. What today's about is understanding our customer, and influence the purchasing decision. If you can understand the buyer's psychological principles and the science behind brands and marketing, nothing will stop you of creating COMPELLING content, wich can drive to a further growth for your business, which is we all want.

By understanding this, you'll be able to make your content become excellent, while you change the audience's behavior in a way that benefits you and your business.

For this reason, today I will share two psychological principles that should take advantage of, so you can generate a excellent and striking content marketing strategy.

1. Fear of Missing Out (F.O.M.O)
A part of "scarcity marketing theory", "FOMO", says people people give more value to what they perceive to be scarce. There are plenty of brands that use things like "Only 2 left in stock - Order soon" (Amazón you hear me? Haha) and there is nothing more than the "fear of losing" use to encourage users to make purchasing decisions.

It is a basic impulse of the human behavior to want something that is limited. In the content marketing field you can use FOMA to tell your customers/consumers that you're offering something rare and valuable. For example, if you sell online adverts, you can give a significant discount only for a limited time, or if you're selling a book, you can offer a free download for a limited time. The objective of this this psychological principle is nothing more than create a sense of urgency.

2. Halo effect:
It refers to a cognitive bias (right to determine something and is given naturally), by which the perception of a particular trait it's influenced by the perception of above features in a sequence of interpretations.

In marketing it was used for example with the Apple iPod, which was used as a vehicle for customers/consumers of this brand to generate enthusiasm for other products of that brand, or by restaurants like Mc Donald's which present itself in it's adverts as a healthy place to eat, and make their customers/consumers underestimate the caloric value.

In the content marketing it is used when you create a positive impression on the market, by means of thoughtful content, and the impression translates to your bussines.

So...What are you waiting to create content that impacts your customers/consumers?
